Hello Readers,

I had a lil time today to sit down and create a Project that was LONG over due. LoL

My BFF Bev picked herself, myself and another friend of ours up these cute lil paper mache letters and wanted us to "do em up"! Needless to say NONE of us had did anything with them yet. Well today I desided to pull out my letter and some Basic Grey "Bittersweet" from BEV aka Precious Scraps and PLAY inbetween tending to the kiddos.

I have to say I am pretty please with THIS out come! I had attempted 2 other times to alter/paper this darn thing and I pulled the paper off BOTH times because I wasnt satisfied with how it was looking.

So w/o any more ramble, here is my lil project to share........

Supplies Used:

Bazzill and Heidi Swapp Blooms, Basic Grey "Bittersweet" pattern paper, Basic Grey "Bittersweet" peeble brad, K I Memories glitter butterfly tattoo, PTI Razz Fizz Ribbon and PTI True Black Ribbon, INked with PTI Razz Fizz Ink. Sentiment is Making Memories Velvet sayings "all girl". And of course the ribbon scraps (various) behind the flower!

I hope you enjoyed my Project as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Cards to Show...

Good Morning!

Last night I was able to play around with some of my stamp/scrapbook supplies. I thought I would share a couple of the quick cards I made!

1st up: Find a Cure...a Breast Cancer Card!

Nothing super fancy but IMO it turned out fairly cute! I got this set recently from CTMH. I had been eyeing it for some time and desided to stop LOOKING and BUY! LoL The Cardstock is all PTI of course!! Then I embellished it a lil with some dew drops and Martha Stewart ribbon.

Next Up: Support Our Troops.....a Military Card!

Again this is the same CTMH set it is just versitile to a few different sayings! I absolutly LOVE it! The Yellow is actually Yo Yo Yellow from SU! And then again I added some dew drops and yellow pink hedgi ribbon. Did you notice the lil ribbon I put to the side?! It fits so perfect to the card!

Well I hope everyone has a Beautiful Saturday! We're heading to the Battlefield/Park today and stopping in to see BEVERLY aka Precious Scraps and do a lil shopping while im there! HeHe

Design Team Call............LOOK!!

Good Evening Readers,

I have some Super Cool Info I wanted to share with you and help my BFF Beverly get the word out!

DESIGN TEAM CALL for PRECIOUS SCRAPS!!!
Below are all the details. The design team will be selected by February 20th and announced on March 1st so hurry and get your projects in.

Precious Scraps is looking for design team members for our new 3000 square foot retail store. We will have two separate design teams, one locally for in store assistance with class development and instruction as well as a design team for online. We will have 1 (one) international member. If you have a passion for creativity, then we want you on our team. You can choose to create in the area of expertise where you feel comfortable, for example not everyone will be required to do a scrapbook page, a card, an alterable, etc., but of course you can do it all as well.
Here are the online design team requirements: (4 positions as well as 1 International) :
1. Each month you will have 3 (three) required submissions.
2. Each design team member will be required to write (2) two tutorials for Precious Scraps during their term to be used in a class or online setting.
3. You must submit your projects online with the understanding that they may be reproduced for in-store samples as well. You must also link your project to Precious Scraps website.
4. Whenever you use products from Precious Scraps you must link them to the store.
5. You must have a blog to showcase your work. All work submitted to Precious Scraps becomes the property of Precious Scraps.
6. Terms will be for 6 months from March 1, 2009 to August 31, 2009. Precious Scraps reserves the right to end your term at any time if responsibilities and/or privileges are neglected or abused.
Here are the design team requirements for local design team: (4 positions) :

To apply just email a link to three samples of your work, your name, your address and blog URL to preciousscraps@bellsouth.net be sure to write DESIGN TEAM SUBMISSION in the subject line. For local design team submit your projects to the store during regular business hours. You may submit cards, pages, alterable, or one of each, it is your choice to showcase your talent in the area you enjoy. The chosen design team will be notified by February 20th with the announcement being made on March 1st on the Precious Scraps blog and in the store.

Cuddlebug + Valentine's + CUTE CARDS.......

Good Evening Readers,

I have been trying to dedicate a lil more of my Time this year to my Hobby... So far I think I have been doing pretty good!

Since Valentine's is right around the corner I desided to get started on some cards!
These 2 cards I show today are for DD's Kindergarden Teacher and Teacher's Assistant!
I hope they enjoy them as much as I do and did making them!

This 1st card was made for DD's Teacher:

The Base of My Card is PTI White and Layered with a Piece of Pure Poppy Red also from PTI. Then Another Piece of PTI white which I embossed with my Cuddlebug Dies then scored 2 lines on the sides with a Scor-Pal. I used some Red Gems in the center of the Flowers. The stamp is a Teresa Collins Stamp from her Line CRUSH (And OMG do I LOVE her stamps!!!) And I inked it up with Brillance Red. Threw a cpl pop dots in the back and make a cute lil Offray Red Gingam Bow for the top! And Inside says "Happy Valentine's Day Mrs. *****!"

This Next Card is for the T.. Assistant:

Again I used some PTI White for the Base. Some PTI Razzberry Fizz CS for a layer and another PTI white which was embossed with my CB then scored again. I used some matching Pink rinestones for my flower centers and Again used the T.C Stamp which I inked in the PTI Raz. Fizz pallette ink. Then poped it on and tied a PTI Raz Fizz Twill Bow on top! Inside just reads "Happy Valentine's Day! "

A Project to Share......

Good Morning Readers!

I hope everyone is staying in Keeping Cozy Warm today! It's absoluty FREEZING here today again!! YUCK!!!

Anyways, I have a special project to share with everyone. I am soo excited about it too!

I am not much of a card maker, I usually wont make a card unless there is some kind of reason for it. (Contest,swap,etc) My Comfort zone is ALTERING. I also Enjoy scrapbooking but have not did any of that in quite some time! LoL

As we all know Valentine's is fastly approching so I desided to get started on DD's Kindy Teacher's Gift and desided to make an extra for my GF Beverly's Scrapbook Store display!

Here is my Project and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them!

I alterted some Target Mailboxes from Last Years Inventory. The pattern Paper is My Mind's Eye Quite Smitten. I comuter generated (my new fav thing for sentiments) the sentiment "Happy Valentine's Day", My Hearts on the front are plain chipboard and I inked them and sharpie pened the white lines. The Blooms are Bazzill bitty blossoms and the ribbon on the flag is just an assortment of grosgrain and sheer. The Back ribbon is Pure Poppy PTI and then American Crafts Valentine ribbon.

Good Friday Morning Readers!

I really needed to update my blog BUT things have been crazy as usual around here. So while I have a quick moment I have a card and some News to share!

Ok so the "news"is this ....I am not one to apply for many DT's as I am still working on bettering my card making or just being able to make a card peroid. LoL
Well I was checking out a Blog one day and had seen they were looking for DT members! I desided to come out of my lil shell and apply well as many of you know it's a couple weeks before yah usually hear back weather yah make it or not...We a couple weeks passed and I got the e-mail sayin I made the team!! I was excited because this is my 1st spot EVER on any kind of design team. So Here I am a Winter Simon Says Stamp Design Team Member! You get to choose one of their exclusive sets and put it to work. Well this is the set I chose:

It's a clear set which was awsome because I find myself totally addicted to clear stamps lately! So with that here is my 1st submission for the design team:

I broke out some of my new Spellbinder Nesties I recently got my BFF Beverly called Labels 2! I used some S.E.I Patterned Paper from a collection called Dill Blossom and some coordinating Green SU cardstock! I computer generated the sentiment "Owl's it Going" and threw on a piece of Brown offray ribbon from my every growing ribbon collection! My card Base is just from one of the Hero Arts Note Card/Envelope packs.

Our Christmas Spirt in the Making.......

Hello Blogging World,

Well, It's been since Halloween since I last Blogged but thing usually get CRAZY insane for us from Halloween through the New Year!

We had My Mom and Her BF up for Turkey Day Week/end and Had an absolute BLAST! We always hate to see them leave.

It has ALWAYS been a Tradition that we put our Christmas Tree up the day after Thanksgiving, and so that is what we did again this year! I Thought I would share it with everyone since I HAND MADE my Bulbs this year (Compliments of Bev aka Precious Scraps ) LoL!

I had desided to make BOTH glitter Bulbs and Paper Bulbs! So w/out further or do here it is " The Bender Family Christmas Tree"........

Above: 1 of the Glitter Bulbs (I made them Blue, Green and Red to match the papers)

Above: Paper Bulbs (I made these in 2 Basic Grey Christmas Pattern Paper Designs)

So there it is....OUR Tree! The kids has a blast Decorating it! So far only 1 bulb broke........Which with 3 kids and a Dog I am THANKFUL it's not BARE YET! LMBO

One Last thing....Before Thanksgiving Brake for DD her teacher had sent the kids home with a Decent sized Cardstock Christams Tree. They were told that over Break They the kids and their family would need to decorate the tree and Bring it back to hang in the hallway after Break. We'll Yesterday we went ahead and "designed" DD's Tree. She picked what she wanted (she is only 5!) and I helped! So here is what we came up with........

It came out sooo beautiful! I am NOT kidding but so far she has the "Prettiest" Tree in class! She is such a GIRLY GIRL! She got her pink bow Tree Topper, She has Pink Bulbs and Snowflake Coordinating Martha Stewart Pattern Paper Bulbs! I sticked lil Clasps and hooks above each and every Snowflake /Bulb too! DD was in OWE to that one! LoL I used soem American Crafts White Grosgrain Ribbon with Red Zig Zag (or rik rac) as her Garland.

Hope it tickles as much as it does us! We are sooo proud of her Tree!

Today is......World Alzheimer's Day !!

Good Sunday Morning Readers,

I wanted to Do a Special Post today! As most of you know today is World Alztimer's Day! This is a Touchy Day for me personally!

Before My Daughter was born (5 FAST yrs ago) I dedicated my time to some Very Special People! I was working FT at a Nursing home in Ohio! I was there for 3 years as a CNA (Certified Nurse Aid) and my Job there was Working Dayturn in the Alztimer's Unit! I absolutly LOVED my Job and Would'nt of asked for any other position Honestly! I was able to experience this well know Disease 1st hand! Let me just tell you this...... I was quite an experience! Both Enjoyful and Heartbreaking at the same time! If you dont know anything about this disease you really should read up on it because you never know if you or someone you love may become effected by it sometime in life!

T is for ..............TEACHER!

Good Evening Readers,

I am Back today with an adorable Lil' Gift Set I made for my DD"s(daughter's) Teacher!

No it is NOT teacher appreciation already BUT I am Just so pleased with DD and all she has learned only 1 month into school!

She just turned 5 begining of Aug and can already spell Mom,Dad, Me, etc! She is also Reading Story Books that they have made in class! This is a HUGE step for me especially being she is the oldest of our 3 kids! So I just wanted to show her Teacher a tiny bit of my appreciation!

When Tart and Tangy came out via Stampin Up....I "Knew" I just HAD TO have it knowing Adventually i'd use it....LoL Well this past weekend was that time!

I got these inspirations as I get almost all of mine from......Blogging(jen in this case)/SCS! I seen a couple projects and figured i'd thow them together to make 1 gift set for "TEACHER"!

I am Very Pleased with the Results and I hope she Enjoy's this lil set as much as I enjoyed Making it!

Ok well Maybe not ME personally but this Book is for sure! LoL

Good Sunday Morning Readers,

I wanted to post and show you a Book I had Made a couple weekends ago when I went over to Beverly's better know as Precious Scraps on the PTI forum! I had never played around nor been Up Close and Personal with the BIND IT ALL Machine.... Well she happpened to have one and I got to play!! Well, of course after she worked my poor tush off making stuff for the Relay For Life benny! HaHa But it was soo much fun and I truly Enjoyed it!

So Anyways, This Book was made using the Teressa Collins Bella Girl line! This line is Absolutly Georgous!!! I just LOVE Pink and Anything to do with the whole Princess/Diva thing and this set is ALL of it!! So it was Definatly an easy pick for me!

After I got the hang of the Bind It All and lined everything up right and had Sucessful Punches on the Spines of My papers(which can easily be mess-up if inot lined up correct!)I was in Heaven!! I Absolutly Love altering things and Altering Books is 1 of My Favorite things to do! So This BIA is Definatly a "MUST HAVE" for me now!

I have yet to complete the inside because I of course Wanted to Do the outside first then try and work the inside! But wanted to share this Book with you since I was actually quite Proud of the outcome so far!

I desided NOT to post any Cards or Pages today instead I would post about one of the other 2 Hobbies I enjoy! This one I just recently took interest in....... HAIRBOW MAKING!!

Even though Halloween is MANY weeks away, I have been in the Halloween mood lately! It is my favorite Holiday after all !!

Anyway, Here is the bow I accomplished today..It's called a "Loopy Bow"! I am not sure I am very satisfied with it and I really should be a lil easier on myself considering this is only 5th bow I have ever made!

I have been wanted to try a cpl other bows (Korkers, Loopy surround a bow,etc) But I got to get some thicker ribbons first! YIKES!!

This was made using the new MFT stamp set Hey Chica....Which was designed by Kim... the owner of MFT's Daughter Brianna! She definatly has FLAVA let me tell yah! I just LOVE the sentiments in the set! And on top of everything........It's an MFT set with a FACE!!!!!

Anywho, Joined up on a PTI swap that my friend Jen is hosting on SCS and here is a Peek at the card I came up with.

Simple and Cute at the same time!

Supplies used were PTI Stamps Everyday Blessings and Snowflake Serenade, DCWV paper from the Glitter Stack, an Acetate Sheet, GP cardstock and Basic Black CS from SU!, Ribbon is from a Mike's Spool and the Eyelets use are We R Memory Keepers!

I still have 5 more to make. It's been crazy busy around here though!!! Easter is comming up, Family is comming in.... IT'S JUST CRAZYNESS I TELL YAH!!!!!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!!

So as you know Saturday was the KY/TN gtg and it was so awsome! I got to meet some really sweet girls(20 of them!) and make some really cool cards! I was the 2nd person done with my cards. I finished up about 3:30pm and this started at 10am!

Here is the card I ended up bringing for everyone to make:

Not bad for only having 3 days to come up with something huh??

There was a Card contest and You were to pick 1st place, 2nd, 3rd and then an honorable mention. I didnt get 1st,2nd or 3rd(There was a tie somewhere between 2nd and 3rd) but I did get the HONORABLE MENTION!!! I was excited because I was for sure my card was NOT gonna win this being my 1st card swap! LoL

So I picked this cute shirt that says " Real Women Scrap!"

Anyways, a Special thanks goes out to Tracy aka Stampin-SunnyChick for talking me into joining at the VERY last minute and coordinating the swap along with Kelsey aka KBeth2002. You gals did a GREAT Job and I am much looking fwd to the next one! HeHe

I officially just joined my 1st EVER Shoebox swap with some local gals! I am super excited and I hope the girls enjoy the card bring for everyone to make! I just wanted to share a little sneak peek of my "kit". I promise once I get my new copics and ink pads I will post more stuff on my blog!.... Maybe even a few Scrapbook pages since I read Jen's Blog(fstop memories)and related to her post about neglecting Scrapbooking! It's been almost 18 months since I touched any of the kids Scrapbooks! YIKES!!!!!
